The SMI Method
The Acupuncture of the Three Principles
The keystone of the Tung acupuncture system. Founded on the theory of the five movements and the five organs, it tells you which terrain the patient belongs to, their root.
The system of the fourteen meridians and the six great meridians. They reinforce the diagnosis and map the body: they are the pathways that carry the effect of the treatment to the intended place.
The whole body of indications and treatments transmitted by Master Tung, by Dr Hu Wen-chih 胡文智 and by the other direct disciples. And a great deal more.
A structured way of understanding and practising acupuncture through three complementary principles, all drawn from the practice of the currents of Tung acupuncture.

Where the encyclopedia comes from — the official translation of the information
The encyclopedia was born of two works. The first translates the whole of Master Tung's texts, with the Chinese set facing it, page after page. The second is the official translation of Dr Hu Wen-chih's 胡文智 work.
