Tung Acupuncture Training — TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp
Practical training to integrate Tung acupuncture into your clinical practice
A practical training designed for healthcare professionals who want to discover a structured approach to Tung acupuncture and learn how to apply it to concrete clinical situations.
Looking for more reproducible results?
You already use techniques such as dry needling, cupping, acupuncture, or other manual approaches and want to broaden your clinical practice.
You know some acupuncture techniques, but are looking for a method that helps you understand why to choose one point rather than another.
The TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp offers a practical introduction to Tung acupuncture.
You do not need to begin with several years of theory. You will work directly with:
- clinical situations;
- Tung acupuncture points;
- the SMI Method;
- clinical reasoning;
- practical application.
Who is it for?
Healthcare professionals
The TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp is primarily designed for healthcare professionals who want to integrate Tung acupuncture tools into their practice. It may be particularly relevant for:
- physiotherapists;
- practitioners already trained in acupuncture;
- professionals using dry needling;
- professionals working with mechanical pain;
- practitioners already using cupping or other complementary techniques.
The training uses clinical and healthcare-professional terminology.
The aim is to start from situations you already know and discover another way of analysing and treating them.
Why the TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp?
Go directly into practice
Tung acupuncture has a large body of points and methods.
The SMI Boost Camp does not aim to make you memorise this entire body of knowledge immediately.
Instead, it gives you an initial structure for understanding how to use points and build a treatment strategy.
A method
The SMI Method gives you a framework for organising your reasoning.
Points
You study the points needed for the clinical situations addressed during the training.
Clinical cases
You work from concrete situations rather than abstract lists.
Practice
You immediately apply the principles you have studied.
The SMI Method
A simple framework for structuring your reasoning
The SMI Method organises analysis around three entry points:
Shénjīng
神經
Identify relevant relationships through Shénjīng.
Meridian
經絡
Analyse meridian relationships.
Indication
主治
Study indications and their relationship with the selected point.
The SMI Method is not a new acupuncture system.
It is a clinical reasoning method applied to Tung acupuncture.
It gives you a structure for moving from the clinical situation to point selection.
4 days to discover the method
The TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp is organised around two major clinical applications.
TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp — Internal conditions
Saturday 16 – Sunday 17 January 2027
You will discover categories of internal conditions and learn to analyse them through the SMI Method.
The work includes categories related to the pathologies of the five organs.
The objective is to understand how to use the method in situations that go beyond pain treatment alone.
TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp — External conditions
Saturday 19 – Sunday 20 June 2027
You will apply the method to external conditions, particularly pain and musculoskeletal conditions.
You will work with a structured approach that allows you to move from symptom to analysis, then to point selection and treatment.
The reference symptom
How do you move from an observable symptom to a coherent treatment?
A transversal thread throughout the training returns to this essential question. Working with the reference symptom allows you to compare the different stages of the reasoning process and understand how the SMI Method can be used in your own practice.
- Symptom
- Analysis
- Point selection
- Treatment
Learn through practice
The TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp is a practical training. You will work on:
Point location
Learn to identify the points used with precision.
Palpation
Develop your ability to identify relevant information through palpation.
Clinical reasoning
Connect the information from the case with the three dimensions of the SMI Method.
Point selection
Understand why particular points are selected in a given situation.
Needling
Apply the principles studied in practice.
Verification
Compare your reasoning with the clinical result.
The objective of the TUNG SPE — SMI Boost Camp is for you to leave with an initial framework that you can use in your own practice.
You are not simply learning a list of points. You are learning how to use them and how to reason with them.
