The Sundays with Dr Su
Specialized clinical education in Tung acupuncture
One Sunday at a time · Live online · French translation
Choose a sessionWhat are The Sundays?
Focused clinical education. One session at a time.
Explore focused clinical subjects in Chinese medicine, with a particular focus on Tung acupuncture and Chinese pharmacopoeia applied to gynecology.
Live online teaching with Dr Su Shan-yu 蘇珊玉, translated into French by Nicolas Berger.
The Sundays are a series of specialized online clinical sessions led by Dr Su Shan-yu. Rather than following a fixed curriculum, each session focuses on a defined clinical subject and develops it from a Chinese medicine perspective, combining:
- clinical reasoning
- Chinese medicine theory
- Tung acupuncture applications
- Chinese pharmacopoeia
- Dr Su’s own clinical experience
The sessions are taught live online and recorded for replay.
This makes The Sundays a flexible form of continuing education in acupuncture and Chinese medicine: choose the subject that is relevant to your practice, without enrolling in a long-term program.
Is this for you?
The Sundays are designed for practitioners and students who want to deepen a specific clinical subject without committing to a full-year training program. This format may be right for you if:
- You already practice acupuncture and want to expand your clinical approach.
- You want to deepen a specific subject, rather than follow a complete curriculum.
- You don’t want a one-year commitment.
- You are looking for focused postgraduate or continuing education.
- You want to learn from a practitioner working with these subjects in clinical practice.
Each Sunday stands on its own. You can join one session, two, or the complete series.
Who are The Sundays not for?
The Sundays do not replace a complete training in Tung acupuncture.
They are not designed to teach the whole of Tung acupuncture from the beginning, and they do not replace the One-Year Program — SMI Method.
If your goal is to understand Tung acupuncture as a complete clinical system, to develop a structured reasoning method, to learn point location and needling and to build your practice progressively over a year, the One-Year Program is the right pathway.
The Sundays answer a different need: focused clinical education, one subject at a time.
What will you study?
Each Sunday has its own clinical subject.
For the 2026 series, the focus is Chinese medicine gynecology and obstetrics, with particular attention to menstrual disorders, their underlying mechanisms, and their treatment through acupuncture and pharmacopoeia.

Foundations of Chinese medicine gynecology
中醫婦產科常見的病因病機與月經生理 — 基礎與總論

Dr Su’s approach
Clinical experience first.
Dr Su Shan-yu 蘇珊玉 is an experienced Chinese medicine practitioner working in Chinese medicine gynecology and obstetrics.
She directs the gynecology and obstetrics department of Chinese medicine at the University Hospital of Chinese Medicine in Taichung.
Her teaching draws from clinical practice in:
- Chinese medicine gynecology
- acupuncture
- Tung acupuncture
- Chinese pharmacopoeia
The purpose of The Sundays is not to present a complete Tung acupuncture curriculum.
Instead, Dr Su brings her own specialized clinical experience to focused subjects, showing how Chinese medicine reasoning, acupuncture and pharmacopoeia can be brought together in practice.
Dr Su is a beginner in the Tung acupuncture lineage, while bringing substantial clinical experience in her own fields of practice.
This distinction matters. The value of these sessions lies in the clinical knowledge she brings to the subject — not in presenting her as a representative of the Tung lineage.
