Selection

With the patient lying in the supine position and with the palm of their hand facing up (supinated), find the center of the first (proximal) phalange of the index finger. The point is located 3 fen toward the left (radial direction).

Insert a 5 fen needle straight down to a depth of exactly 1 fen to reach the Fēn Zhī Shén-jīng of the Heart. Insert straight down to a depth of 2 to 2.5 fen for the Shén-jīng of the large intestine and Small Intestine.
